NATO's intelligence arm says Russia may be preparing to escalate its campaign of hybrid attacks across Europe. Hackers linked to Iran are actively targeting the control systems that run U.S. water utilities. AI-generated videos are spreading across TikTok, engineered to look like real footage. Ukrainian soldiers appearing to surrender, ordinary voices appearing to call for peace at any cost. None of it is real.

All of it is designed Sieg, a drone on the airport tarmac, carrying explosives. Christmas Day, cables caught on the Baltic seabed. France, hackers take over supermarket fridges. Ukraine, hundreds of drones aimed at the power grid. Lithuania, a red alert, people in shelters. Brussels, every household told to be ready for 72 hours.

Some of that is war, some is crime. And it reaches us one headline at a time, with nobody explaining what it means for the people at home. This is Homefront, the civilian face of modern conflict. What happened? What's happening now? And what can we learn?

Not for generals or analysts, for you and the people you live with. Because more and more this reaches the kitchen table. I'm Juliano Stokinovais, 10 years in crisis zones, including Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion. Now I work on hybrid threats and dual-use technology in Brussels. And I'm Luke Irving, former Royal Engineer, humanitarian in the United Nations. 15 years working in complex environments around the world.

Opinions and thoughts are my own. One civilian, one military, one question. What does this all mean for the people at home? Every episode makes the same promise. Understand it. What's really happening in plain language.

Question it. Who decides about your safety? What are they spending and what can you ask of them? And be part of it. Those decisions belong to you too. Homefront core is our deep dives, one big subject at a time.

Homefront today. When something big happens, we come back within days to explain what it means for you. And Homefront Memories is what we can learn from the past. From Sarajevo to the Blitz. No warmongering, no fearmongering. Just the evidence and the right questions.

There's more at homefrontpod.com. Articles, deep dives, readings. And yes, there's even a game. New episodes every two weeks, and Homefront Today, whenever the news needs it. Follow Homefront wherever you get your podcasts. Understand it, question it, be part of it.
